Personal Statement

The adventures that I have experienced have developed me into an optimistic, empathetic and cheerful person. I believe that happiness is a crucial part of living a successful life, and I have found that my joy and laughter flow quite easily from myself and onto others. I am extremely flexible and adjust easily in any situation, finding comfort in the unknown. I am happiest when given the opportunity to work with new people, and I strive to help humanity in any way that I can.

For the past 12 years, I have been deeply involved in this organization. Operation Smile strives to change the lives         of those born with facial deformities around the world by providing them with free reconstructive surgeries.                   Alongside my peers, I have helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for patients receiving these surgeries         around the world. I now hold a permanent position as a Patient Imaging Technician, and attend international                 medical missions about 2 times a year.
